The home stretch

Well, we are less than 24 hours away from being a family of four.  We really didn't think we would be doing all of this again, but God is funny like that.  Knowing my personality, you would assume I would have everything together for Caden's arrival.  Honestly, I have some things still in the "Almost Completed" category like having my hospital bag fully packed and Caden's car seat properly installed.  But like I said, we have about a day left.

What important tasks have I otherwise been consumed with?  Oh, I just reluctantly did this to my husband's hair last night.

In celebration of today being the last day of the semester, Clint wanted to rock out a mohawk.  He also did something weird (handlebars?) with his facial hair.  Carter adamantly refused to be like Dad this time around.

Oh, and just for the cuteness factor:

I don't know if he was trying to look like he was in jail or what.  He's been pretty obsessed with super heroes and bad guys lately.

I just realized that I didn't take any pictures to document the progress of my growing belly this time around.  A lot of people are surprised when I tell them I'm about to have a baby because of how small I am.  (I am seriously not bragging because this pregnancy has been harsh on my body.)  Since I'm a seminary student, it might be illegal or something to post a picture like this.  Oh well, here's my one and only belly pic:

39 weeks, 1 day
We also spent time looking at videos from Carter's baby days this past week.  I loved watching his face light up as he asked if Caden will do the same things, make the same noises, etc.  I got a little weepy at times especially when Carter told me that he will always be my little baby.

Now, almost three years and eight months later, we are doing it all again.
