Early this week, some great friends of ours from our church back in Georgia came to see us. Phyllis and Danny's visit was a great break from the usual running around. It was so nice to see them! They were on their way to the Outer Banks and decided to make a side trip to see us (this was a couple hours out of their way). They took Carter and me out to dinner (Clint was working) on Monday evening, and we showed them around campus the following day. It was a short visit, but we were so grateful they came. Thanks, Mama Phyllis and Mr. Danny!
Clint and I had a date night last night (thanks, Alana and Paul)! We desperately needed one; the last one was...was...you get the picture. We ate at Bottle and Bean, and we really liked its laid back atmosphere (it was recommended by one of Clint's professors). After that, we went to Triangle Town Center and window shopped. It is amazing how many cart vendors are already out for the holidays selling anything and everything. Santa is already there, too (yuck). We finished our stroll with the usual Barnes and Noble browsing session which included looking at the bargain books, new releases, the children's department, and Kumon workbooks). When we got back home, guess who was still up.
As usual, it was a crazy week, but our visitors and date night brought many smiles that were much needed. I am so blessed.
