First day of class

(I'm having computer downloading issues this morning, so please forgive me for not being my usual chipper self--ha, ha.)

Well, yesterday was our first day of class.  I had Biblical Counseling and Old Testament I, and Clint had Old Testament I (not the same class--we just can't do that yet, maybe next semester).  As you can imagine, we have a lot of reading and a lot of assignments (like memorizing the Hebrew alphabet) to tackle.  My Biblical Counseling professor has a 12-page syllabus (in all fairness, some of that included forms and an example of a case study)!  It seems to be a very challenging class, but I really am looking forward to it.

Here's what I'm taking this semester:
Biblical Counseling
Old Testament I
Baptist History

And, here's Clint's classes:
Old Testament I
English Comp I
History of Ideas I
Intro to Computers
Intro to the Cooperative Program

We'll give more details about these classes in the next coming weeks.

Clint's mom, step dad, and brother came earlier this week to take care of Carter while we went through orientation and to check out the area (probably to make sure we weren't joining a cult :) ).  They were a big help to us!  Even though we love all this newness (I think I just made up that word), it was so good to see familiar faces.

Here's a picture of us at orientation.  I don't really like it because it was so hot, we look tired, and the picture is blurry (I always ask the people who don't know how to take pictures to take our picture).

This weekend will be a time to get some reading done for next week, take Carter out to the playground, and visit new church #3.  Talking about churches, I used to be really excited about visiting all these great churches in the area, but I really want to settle down and feel at home somewhere.  After this one, we may visit one more next week and then make a decision.  New church #3 and #4 were at the top of our list, so we're really excited!

As always, please pray for us.  Also, make me happy and comment on my blog about whatever...your memorable first day of class, new moves (I mean moving stories but dance moves work as well), crazy church visits, or just about how much you like us.  :)
