Happy Father's Day!

My husband, Clint, is a fabulous, wonderful, amazing father.  Carter and I made him smile with these unique (and inexpensive, of course) gifts:

I have a whole bunch of notecards without envelopes, so I decided to embellish an existing one rather than buy one.  I printed out a super hero body (love my Google Images search) and Clint's head from a photo.  TA-DAA!  We always trace Carter's hand on the inside of holiday cards throughout the year to see how much he's grown...and cooperated.

Next, I found a vintage tea towel (I'm sure it was mass-produced for tourists) with a Scottish man in traditional garb playing bagpipes with the words to "Amazing Grace" (Clint's favorite hymn).  He loved it!  The very large tea towel was bought for cheap on etsy, and the frame was bought at WalMart.  No, it's not a perfect fit, but it works (there was no way I was going to pay for custom framing at one of those craft stores).

Finally, we bought some yummy goodies for Daddy from Fresh Market and gave each item a super hero related label.  I got really creative with some of the labels; my favorites were his "Super Hero Transformation Elixir:  For when you can't get to a telephone booth!" (Virgil's Black Cherry Cream Soda) and his "Evil Alter-Ego Transformation Elixir:  Just because you can!" (Virgil's Root Beer).  I did get the idea (and copy the label for the X-Ray Vision Drops) from alphamom.com.

Clint really enjoyed his gifts!  We really do have a wonderful dad and husband.  We are so blessed!  :)
