Day in Pictures: My Energy Draining Friday

I think I'm going to regularly post a "Day in Pictures" feature.  Knowing I will have a somewhat busy day, I will take my camera to shoot the highlights (or total randomness) of that particular day.  Here's my poor attempt at my first one.

I went to bed very late, like 1:00 am late (normally not like me). Carter woke me up around 5:30 am. After numerous attempts to get him to entertain himself, I surrendered and finally read him Elmo's Potty Book.  (Sorry it's so dark.)

Breakfast around 7:30. I would love to say that this is what my breakfast looks like every morning.
But when there's cake...

Once my mind was functioning at almost 100%, I tackled some Spanish vocab.

In competition mode, Clint and I battled it out with a game of Scrabble Flash.  He helped me see that my mind was still not functioning at 100%.  I should have stuck with my usual Sudoku.

A little after noon, I picked up the kids I nanny from their last day of VBS at Bayleaf.  As soon as we got into the car, they started fighting.  I looked at them and yelled said, "Didn't you learn anything this past week?"

During a quiet moment at home with the kids, I figured I would get some study time in, but I had to just forget that idea when I heard a wrestling match turn from innocent horseplay to imminent police intervention.

After an emergency call for black ink from Clint, I rounded the kids up, ran into Target, and stopped by Chick-fil-a for milkshakes for everyone--except me.  As we drove away, I wished I hadn't labeled milkshakes as a bad food choice because I desperately wanted one.

Swim practice at 4:15.  I really didn't think we would make it since they were fighting yet again (cause: hidden goggles and basketball cards).  I could have passed out taking this picture right here.

I guess I kind of did pass out when I got home around 7:00.

After eating dinner and washing up, it was time to put Carter to bed at 8:30.
I went to bed soon after.

Little did I know, Clint bought me flowers while I was sleeping, and I found them this morning.
He's so awesome!

Well, that was my day.  How was yours?
