Plewy

(I should mention that my adorable son is climbing all over me right now making it difficult to type a blog post.  Let us see how this turns out.)

This week was plewy.  No, you don't have to Google that; it's one of my original adjectives.  It means exhausted yet unproductive.  I got very little school work done, and I desperately needed to get a lot done.  It's alright.  There's always early mornings and late nights.

One reason we didn't get much done was a trip back home to Georgia.  We had to clean up our house that our renters defaulted on, so we can put it back on the market as a short sale.  We left Tuesday evening and arrived around 1:00 a.m. Wednesday morning.  On Wednesday, we cleaned the house, met with our realtor, ate with Clint's family, and visited my sister and brother-in-law.  On Thursday, we met with our realtor again for some last minute stuff, spent some time with our home church's associate pastor, ate lunch with my dad, and visited Clint's grandfather.  We left that afternoon and got back home around 10:00 p.m.  I actually thought the trip was going to take more of a toll on our bodies, but the McCulloughs are strong, sharp, and limber (that will be on our family reunion shirts years from now).

Carter had the most runny nose ever during this past week.  It just would not stop!  I cannot wait until he can blow his own nose.  (He can, but it's more of a messy game for him instead of an efficient way to get boogers out.)

You know it's one of those weeks when you have to go grocery shopping late at night.  I really can't complain.  It was nice to go to Harris Teeter (linked for the south Georgians) and browse the aisles with my coupon binder while jamming to the music without caring about who's around.  It was wonderful!  (I paid $55.00 and saved $44.00.)  The only thing that creeped me out was loading my trunk in the parking lot.  I knew I was an easy target for an abduction, so I used my ninja skills to get the groceries in the car and my shopping cart in the corral (don't be one of those lazy people and just leave it by your car!) as fast as I could.  Yes, there were only like five cars in the parking lot, but you need to take precautions.  I may need to find another strategic grocery shopping time...

I barely got any devotional time in this week.  There is something so different when I don't have quiet time; I am not equipped for life.  I just feel like a buoy bobbing around or a pinball being ricocheted, and then at the end of the week, I'm saying, "What was that?!"  Even if I only get in some good time with God and nothing else on my to-do list, I know that plewy will not define my days.  I'm still learning.  I'm still growing.  I'm still applying.  It really gives "progress" a new definition, and that is:  heart change.

So, I'm going to prioritize my time, let everything fall into place as God would have it, and try my best.
